Week 7: Blueberry

So, as far as I know, I've made it to week 8 (completed week 7).

Baby's now the size of a blueberry!
Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.

Hurray! I've decided to tell my sister today. It's really killing me not to tell anyone, and she is the first person I want to share with anyway. The only problem is that I'm going to ask her to keep a secret from Chris for 3 weeks, so I'll only tell her if she feels comfortable agreeing to that.

I'm going to get Harry to take a picture of me tonight. I don't really notice a difference, honestly, so I'll save the photos for when I have an actual bump.

Today's symptoms:
soreness, upset stomach/diarrhea early this morning
REALLY out of breath walking in to work, feeling hot
Upset stomach went away after I ate lunch (1:44). We'll see if it's just the food in my tummy, or if it's gone for good (for today, at least).
Upset stomach seemed to stay away. It's 5:30 right now and I feel fine.

I told Megan today! She seemed really excited and it felt so good to be able to talk to someone about this. :)
I asked her what her plans were for March, and she said "Uh ... I don't know. Nothing yet." So I said "Well, you'd better set aside some time because you're going to be an Aunt!"
It was great, and now I'm even more anxious for my first appointment to get here so that I can tell the rest of my family.
